This five-day course comprises the ONTAP Cluster Administration (ONTAP9ADM) followed by the 2 day ONTAP Data Protection Administration (DATAPROT9) courses.

The first 3 days uses lecture and hands-on exercises to teach the basic administration tasks of an ONTAP 9.11 cluster. You use the cluster shell and OnCommand System Manager to manage storage and network resources. ONTAP Cluster Administration is an intermediate course in a comprehensive learning path for NetApp customers, partners and employees.

Students spend the final 2 days learning about the different data protection solutions that are integrated into ONTAP software, including the SyncMirror, SnapMirror, storage virtual machine (SVM) disaster recovery, and SnapVault solutions. The course also provides an overview of ONTAP MetroCluster configuration, NDMP, and cloud-based data protection with NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP and NetApp Data Availability Services. You also learn about the tools for managing ONTAP data protection features. In the hands-on exercises, you use NetApp OnCommand System Manager and the CLI to complete key data protection tasks.

The course also provides an overview of the ONTAP MetroCluster high-availability and disaster recovery software solution.

This one-day course extends the information about the NFS protocol found in the ONTAP Cluster Administration course. The course reviews NFS and explores in more detail different NFS versions and the features of NetApp ONTAP 9 software that support NFS. You use ONTAP 9 to complete the exercises.

This one-day course extends the SMB information discussed in the ONTAP Cluster Administration course. Learn how to configure the SMB client for NetApp ONTAP. Also learn about advanced ONTAP 9 features that support the SMB protocol.

This is a two-day course. Through brief lectures, exercises, and classroom discussion, you discover how to deploy and maintain NetApp Active IQ® Unified Manager. You also learn how the performance-management features of Unified Manager provide a unified approach to storage management that reduces complexity.

In this three-day course, you will learn the ONTAP 9 Data Management Software installation process for a SAN environment. The course provides information about block-level protocols, including FC, FCoE, NVMe, and iSCSI, on Microsoft Windows Server, Linux and VMware ESXi host operating systems. The learning will be reinforced through hands-on guided labs.

This one-day ONTAP Security and Compliance course describes the architecture and functionality of the integrated data protection security and compliance features and benefits in ONTAP 9 data-management software, including SnapLock software, key management features, and encryption technologies. The course also explains the integrated data protection compliance features’ administration, configuration, and management.

ONTAP Security and Compliance Solutions Administration is intended for data protection administrators of any experience level

This three-day course enables you to collect and analyze system performance data from NetApp storage systems that run NetApp ONTAP 9 software. You learn to interpret data and identify and implement changes that improve system efficiency. You also know to use system commands and features to monitor and enhance storage system performance. You learn from hands-on exercises, case studies, and technical discussions.

In this four-day course, you increase your proficiency as a NetApp ONTAP software engineer by learning how to troubleshoot ONTAP environments. Specifically, you learn how to troubleshoot the management component, scale-out networking, NAS protocols (NFS), and SAN protocols. From lectures, demonstrations, and active exercises, you learn how to isolate issues, verify configurations, view logs, view trace messages, and use event management system (EMS) messages for troubleshooting.

This three-day course focuses on the deployment of NetApp SnapCenter Server. You learn how to install, monitor, and manage SnapCenter Server. The course also discusses installation and use of licenses and role-based access control. You learn how to prepare hosts, install SnapCenter Plug-ins, and connect to NetApp storage systems. You also review backup and restore of Windows file system data and the configuration of SnapMirror and SnapVault relationships for use with SnapCenter software.

In this two-day course, you will learn to implement Microsoft Hyper-V on Data ONTAP, and how to design and implement virtualization solutions on NetApp storage systems using Microsoft Hyper-V. You will also discover how to deploy the Microsoft Windows Server 2022 virtual infrastructure on Data ONTAP storage.

In this three-day course you learn to implement a hybrid cloud solution with Amazon Web Services using NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP. Connect an AWS Virtual Private Cloud and an on-premises data center to unify your infrastructure. Use NetApp Cloud Manager to move and manage storage in the hybrid cloud.
